Wedding smiles at St Mellion with the Plymouth team

SpaDental at the Wedding show

SpaDental Plymouth were at the popular wedding show at St Mellion International Resort on Sunday 21st October. The team spent  an enjoyable day talking to happy couples about their wedding smiles.

“So what is a dental practice doing at a wedding show?” I hear you ask.

Sometimes the small things can be overlooked, such as a brilliant wedding smile!

We believe a natural smile on your wedding day is very important.

Ms Heather Cresswell and Ms Lorraine Allen at the SpaDental stand.

Having spoken to many brides-and-grooms-to-be, we were surprised at how many people did not have a regular dentist. As a result, they put off having that broken tooth fixed, or their smile enhanced by whitening.

Often, with the pressure of organising a wedding for the guests’ comfort, the bride or groom’s personal wishes gets put off or forgotten.  There’s so much to think about,  time restraints and a lot of expense.

Moreover, many people also think that private dental treatment is too expensive for them. Often that’s because they haven’t asked for more information.

Dental surgeon Mr Stephen Fletcher explained how facial aesthetics enhances a wedding smile.

The talented SpaDental team take time to explain what dental treatments involve, and how much they’ll cost. We can also explain about finance options to spread the expense.

Creating brilliant wedding smiles.

At the wedding show, visitors met five of the SpaDental team to discuss our range of treatments. We enjoyed talking to happy couples, their family members and friends.

Mr Thomas Wardiell talked about tooth whitening, and other treatments

Popular wedding smile treatments are:

♥ Tooth Whitening

Having a great smile always helps so much with confidence and self-esteem.

Hight Street products, however, are not as effective as the whitening your dentist can do. In line with European regulations, only dentists are legally allowed to prescribe the use of cosmetic tooth whitening products that contain up to 6.0% hydrogen peroxide (or the carbamide peroxide equivalent).

SpaDental Plymouth offers two ways to whiten teeth:

♥ Facial Rejuvenation

Put yourself in the safe hands of our dental team for treatments which help you achieve a fresher, more youthful appearance.

Skin Smoothing

We can improve the appearance of fine and deeper lines by injecting tiny amounts of a purified protein (normally Botox) into specific facial muscles using an ultra-thin needle. The injections relax targeted muscles, easing the dynamic lines caused by smiling or frowning.

How it helps:

Also, did you know that a problem with excessive perspiration responds well to muscle relaxation treatment?

Lip Shaping

As we get older, our lips can start to develop wrinkles and lose their youthful fullness and definition. This is due to a loss of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, which attracts and retains water. We can replace this substance with dermal fillers, which will help to combat signs of ageing and give your pout a subtle boost.

The gel-like filler is injected using a very fine needle, followed by a gentle massage to ensure even distribution in the skin.

How it helps:

♥ Dental Implant

A dental implant is the closest thing to a real tooth in both function and appearance. If you have a missing tooth, or missing teeth, implants are often the best solution.

Consider the structure of a tooth. There’s the root that’s hidden, and the crown that shows. A dental implant and crown replace a whole tooth.

How it helps:

♥ Invisalign®

A sophisticated, modern treatment, Invisalign® is a popular treatment to straighten teeth.

Invisalign® creates for you a series of customised, clear aligners that gently push your teeth into their best position. If you’re willing to wear them, it’s a comfortable and discreet method.
