Bridges at Glastonbury
For a more complete smile.
Bridges are an effective way to restore your smile by replacing one or more missing teeth. They usually consist of a false tooth located between two crowns and are often made from porcelain bonded to a precious metal base, making them both natural-looking and strong enough to function like real teeth.
As there are a variety of bridge types, your dentist will advise you which will be the most suitable and the least invasive.
How they help
- Enhance your smile
- Reduce the strain on the teeth either side of a gap
- Keep remaining teeth in place
- Improve how your teeth bite together
Looking after your bridge
Your bridge should prove to be a long-lasting restoration if you keep on top of your oral hygiene, which should include brushing twice daily and cleaning between your teeth. You also need to pay close attention to the area underneath the false tooth.
You should see your dentist and hygienist regularly so they can assess the condition of your bridge and ensure you are using effective cleaning techniques.
