Fees at the Chard practice
Please note: to secure an appointment, we must ask for a deposit of 50-100% at the time of booking.
We believe it is important to be open and clear about all patient fees
We provide you with a written estimate of your planned treatment fees at the Chard practice. Should your treatment plan need to change, then your clinician will discuss and confirm the fee changes with you. The range of treatments may be limited by the payment scheme the patient is registered on with the practice, although all patients are able to opt for pay-as-you-go private treatment.

The payment options open to patients are:
- Private patients: The whole range of treatments offered by our clinicians is available as you pay for appointments and treatments as you choose to have them.
- Plan patients: Pay for your treatment in monthly instalments to spread the cost of treatment over the year.
- NHS patients: There is a limited list, mostly children.
Treatments open to Plan and NHS patients are limited. You may, however, elect to have treatment not covered by your payment scheme. All patients may choose to opt to pay private patient fees for treatments.

Private Patients
The whole range of treatments offered by our clinicians is available to any patients on a ‘Pay as You Go’ Private Fee basis. Our private fee guide gives an indicative fee for the proposed treatment, however, this may need to change as your treatment proceeds. Your clinician will agree with you the change of plan and fees before any further treatment is provided.

Membership Patients
Choose to become a SpaDental Plan patient. Our monthly payment plans help you to access the dental treatments you require, offering emergency cover as well as discounts for essential treatment. At the same time, you can spread out the cost of your yearly dental care.
The SpaDental Essential plan at Chard covers those aspects of your dental care that are vital for maintaining good oral health. It focuses on prevention, covering your regular check-ups (including x-rays when required), and hygiene appointments. If we discover your teeth need some extra care and attention, this plan also includes discounts for routine restorative treatments.
NHS Patients
To support government initiatives to improve the oral health of children in England, SpaDental Chard registers babies, children and teenagers as new NHS patients when there are new openings.
