Fees at the Whitchurch practice
We believe it is important to be candid with all patient fees, therefore we provide you with a written estimate of your planned treatment costs. Should your treatment plan change, then your clinician will discuss this with you.
The range of treatment available to patients may be limited by the payment scheme the patient is registered under with the practice. The patient payment schemes are:
- Private patients – the whole range of treatments offered by our clinicians is available
- SpaDental Plans patients – covers those aspects of your dental care that are vital for maintaining good oral health
- NHS patients – limited to treatment prescribe and paid for by NHS England
Any Plan or NHS patient may elect to have treatment not covered by their scheme as a Private patient by paying the private fee for that treatment.
The whole range of treatment offered by our clinicians are available to any patients on a ‘Pay as You Go’ Private Fee basis.
Our private fee guide gives an indicative fee for the proposed treatment but this might change as you proceed through your course of treatment. Your clinician will agree with you the change of treatment and fees before any further treatment is provided.
We offer a range of payment methods including cash, all major credit cards and finance plans for treatment plans in excess of £450.
The payment plans at Whitchurch covers those aspects of your dental care that are vital for maintaining good oral health and help you spread the cost of your yearly dental care. It focuses on prevention, covering your regular check-ups (including x-rays) and hygiene appointments. If we discover your teeth need some extra care and attention, this plan includes discounts for routine restorative treatments.
NHS Dental charges are based on three treatment bands, One to Three, that dictate the fee to be charged to the patient unless the patient can claim a qualifying exemption.
Please contact the Whitchurch reception team for a copy of your treatment plan or for a more detailed explanation of your treatment fees.
