Patient reviews of the Saltash practice

The team at Spa Dental are always very attentive. The dentist and hygienist take time to explain the treatment they are giving or recommending. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Cancellations: My appointment had been cancelled by the clinic and because it is so far in advance I then had to cancel due to a new job. When they offered a new appointment I suggested my husband could take the earlier appointment which wasn’t suitable for me due to work. I was informed they could not do that because the dentist was not his dentist so I wonder what happens when someone is off sick?An unbelievable excuse given that we don’t don’t see them from year to year minimum. Even my husband had a few appointments cancelled by this clinic and one he was informed was due to it being booked in the wrong tax year by the clinic – we didn’t realise we had to conform to their tax year!

Every time I go to this dentist she comments that she believes me to be nervous however, I am not a nervous patient and have never been due to being lucky enough not to have any severe treatment so I don’t appreciate this inaccurate assessment everytime I go in or maybe she says to to everybody? When I was asked if I floss to which I commented yes occasionally I was then informed I should do so every night! Realistically I only ever get 1 appointment a year in this place if I am lucky and never have to have treatment so I don’t consider my teeth that bad despite not flossing every night! Why don’t people in these positions think about what they say based on what they are treating or is it just a power trip.

Not a good experience before and after Spa Dental took over. No call back re pending appts. Only because my wife had professional contact with something else did I finally get s call back I wonder if she hadn’t emailed whether I would of got a call at all….

Disappointed that the machine was not working on this occasion, therefore only a small portion of tartar could be removed. Rather a short length of time spent on this annual check up.

When walking in any establishment the first thing that happens is your greeted by the receptionist. In a ‘dentist’ or doctors it’s sometimes more important to be greeted with a smile to relax the patient. The last 3 times the young man on reception looks like he would prefer to be anywhere but at work. It was almost like I had interrupted his day. I work in cst services, I know how stressful it can be & I know we have personal issues too. I’m not face to face but iI know how important my voice comes across on the telephone, tone etc. Maybe some further training would help or this person isn’t in the right job. I watched other customers coming in & felt they had the same welcome. I’m not after getting anyone into trouble but I was asked to give a review & I have.

I had to have a new set of dentures and I chose to go Private. The dentist was very patient with me and after many appointments I only have one sore spot which I am quite confident will be attended to this week. Ramona is an excellent dentist and I consider we are very lucky to have her in Saltash.

I have had 2 appointment’s cancelled on the day of the appointment. I work in France so I have to take a days holiday and fly back to the UK to attend. I find it very annoying when you can do this to your patience but when my wife missed an appointment because she had to take our disabled daughter to hospital she was removed from your books for non attendance.

I have used this practice since it opened and I am impressed with their care.
