It was my first visit very happy with advise and future advise on appointments

I’ve been a patient of this practice for over 12 years. I have twice yearly checkups and cleaning, and have had two implants in recent years as well as a root canal and a filling or two. Chipped the enamel on a 25 year old old crown/bridge last week, got an appointment at very short notice and the rough edge of the chip was smoothed over. All sorted very quickly without fuss, and no charge! Can’t ask for better service than that.

I have had dental appointments constantly change due to lack of available dentists. My last appointment was changed three times.

I understand the practice has suffered from long term staff sickness, and a replacement dentist was taken on to cover the three days.

But, this dentist soon reduced their days worked to two, which left reception constantly having to move previously booked appointments.

This has only been rectified last week by taking on another dentist for one day.

In the meantime on Facebook it has been advertised that the practice would like to take on more patients.

When able to actually get an appointment and see either a dentist or hygienist, the treatment has been 100%, and the receptionists very apologetic when having to move appointments.

Please could the lack of appointments available be rectified for existing patients before new patients on taken on.

I have been with my dentist for some years now, and moved with him to Spa Dental. I always find the ladies in reception friendly, polite and helpful, and Mr Martin and the dental nurse always informative, friendly and relaxing. Couldn’t want any better treatment. Thank you.

I felt that the only option was to have an crown it’s very expensive now I’m on a pension.

The temporary crown was put efficiently in but I had to telephone a week later to ask when the permanent crown would be fitted. I was told that the crown was ready to be fitted and an apology that I hadn’t been contacted. The permanent crown is highly sensitive to cold and I’m returning to see if anything can be done, hopefully without cost but inevitably I think I’ll have to pay.

I joined the insurance plan but too late for it to apply to the crown. The first instalment included a £10 admin fee which was a surprise.

There are no loyalty discounts for being a long-standing customer. Unlike other services it’s not easy to shop around it feels a bit inevitable that I’ll not be able to afford the care I need.

Quality of care and interaction has always been good, however following management changes it has been unsettling to patients seeing a lot of long term staff leaving and relationships diminished. It is unknown why so many staff have left but their departure is disconcerting. It has caused uncertainty about how the practice will hold onto its reputation, whether the turn over of staff will continue or whether the practice settles again is to be seen.

I have used the practice for a few years and liked the staff that have looked after my teeth – they have been pragmatic and good at what they do; this time due to staff changes I had new people. The receptionists are always friendly and efficient, no change there. I was very pleased with the hygiene aspect of my teeth – looked very good/clean. I would have preferred to have known before turning up that my normal dentist was not available and I was being switched to another. Personally the cost of an under 10 minute dental exam seems a lot. Overall, I like the practice and the treatment I receive,

From the reception to surgery, I received excellent treatment. If you have to go to the dentist, you could not do better.

I have used this dentist since I moved to Tewkesbury almost 4 years ago and I am perfectly satisfied with the expert and friendly treatment I have received.

I am very satisfied with the service. However on a personal note I’m not sure how sustainable it is for me to continue with private treatment as I’ve retired early and don’t get a state pension yet. I think understand the free nhs dental treatment is not sustainable but feel there should be a way to solve this problem
