Feedback on the whereabouts of the Plymouth team!

Since we started emailing you, our patients, after your appointments, we have been overwhelmed with the fantastic reviews we have been receiving. Thank you all so much!

One comment we picked up on was a remark on the turnover of our nursing staff and reception team members. So here is some feedback on the Plymouth team, and what everyone’s getting up to!

Our reception team

It’s quite likely you will see a different face at the reception desk when you come in. We believe in offering employment opportunities to women who want to work, but cannot commit to full-time employment. Therefore we employ part-time staff, so it is likely their rota will not coincide with all of your visits.  We also have to make changes to cover holidays and sickness, even bringing in Louise, our Practice Manager, to help out sometimes!

Dental Nurses

Usually our nurses only ever leave us to further their careers, or for personal reasons, and this has been the case over the past eighteen months.

Last year we had four of our nurses leave the practice to go on to bigger things. One moved into Orthodontics, one moved away with the family and two left to go to University to train as Dental Hygienists.

We are still in touch, and watching how their careers progress with interest!

As reported in a post late last year, Ana Tarczanyn left us in December to go on maternity leave. Ana has given birth to a beautiful baby girl since then. We were delighted to hear her good news, and we wish Ana and her family all the very best.

Current feedback on the Plymouth team

We are committed to helping the professional development of young dental practitioners. We therefore accept the responsibility of mentoring trainee Dental Nurses each year. Currently we have three trainees with us, who are working towards their qualifications. We will be posting introductory profiles for them.
