Why does Patient Participation matter?
It’s very important for patients to be able to give their feedback directly to the services they use. Information from users drives improvement and change.
At Spadental we believe it matters how our patients feel. We read every review that’s submitted to us, and we value the oral feedback we receive in the practices too.
Do patients have to give feedback?
Have you been to an appointment at SpaDental Ross, Ledbury, Plymouth or Whitchurch in the last six months? If so, then you’ll have received an email asking you to fill in a Friends and Family form. Although patients don’t have to fill in the form, we really appreciate the useful comments that people have written. And, although most comments are positive, when we have fallen short of patient expectations, then we look into the concern and follow-up as appropriate. Your time spent responding is helpful and appreciated.
Patients don’t need to ‘grin and bear it’!
Times have changed. Our patients’ opinions matter to us.
While all responsible services are looking at user experience with a view to ongoing improvement, it’s particularly important in a field as sensitive as health. Dental care is a very personal experience. Sensitivity and kindness is as crucial as recognising and treating dental issues. We want your experience, from the moment you walk through the door, to be a good one.
Although filling in online forms can seem like a chore, it’s through patient feedback that care gets better and better.

“Patients and carers are the smoke alarms for the frontline… They are often first to spot poor care and also have great ideas about how to make care better.”
Online feedback is posted on the practice’s website page, helping potential new patients to make a decision.
